You can use SSIS for migrating from Sql server to Postgres..

  • Postgres Migration Toolkit Software pack to convert Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server and FoxPro to PostgreSQL, and vice versa.
  • pgloader Migrate from SQLite to PostgreSQL; Migrate from MS SQL Server® to PostgreSQL .Sustainable Open Source Development. supports full migration of the database schema and data from a single command line and provides a command language for more complex or specific scenarios. It is still fully supported: please report any bugs on its GitHub page. It appears in the 2013 section here because that's when it has been published first
  • sqlserver2pgsql Migration tool to convert a Microsoft SQL Server Database into a PostgreSQL database.
  • MSSQL-to-PostgreSQL is a program to migrate databases from SQL Server to PostgreSQL. The program has high performance: 2,5 GB MS SQL database is migrated to PostgreSQL server within less than 20 minutes on an average modern system. Command line support allows to script, automate and schedule the conversion process.Demo version converts only 50 records per table.Demo version does not convert foreign keys and view, mor information:http://www.convert-in.com/mss2pgs.htm

SSIS is only for data loading operation...how we can migrate other DB objects?

Yes we can ..we have migrated around 2TB of database into Postgres.. we need to use Intellisoft driver . But We need to buy the license.
If you migrating with schema changes we can use ssis . Otherwise direct mapping without any schema changes . we have many tools available in the market .
Like FullConvert, dbconvert, spectralcore, pgloader.io.. etc

The first one listed here https://wiki.postgresql.org/wiki/Converting_from_other_Databases_to_PostgreSQL

tends to be appropriate in most cases, since Ispirer MnMTK 2020 is highly adaptable.
